Regular window cleaning
Our regular window-cleaning service runs every six weeks. We will remind you before each visit, and you can pause or cancel the service if your circumstances change. More about regular window cleaning.
No. As long as we can reach the back of the property, you do not need to be in. We will let you know the evening before so gates can be unlocked and cars moved if needed.
All the glass included in your quote, plus the frames, sills and external doors. Where a conservatory or extension is part of your quote, that glazing is included as well. If there is no suitable external access to the rear, the quote covers the front of the property only.
From the ground. Purified water is fed up a carbon fibre pole to a brush at the top, so nothing has to lean against your guttering or planting, and upstairs glass gets the same clean as downstairs.
Purified water has had the minerals taken out of it, so it dries without leaving spots or streaks. Give it an hour or two and the glass dries clear on its own.
We work in normal British weather. Rain on freshly cleaned glass does not undo the clean, because the dirt has already gone. We only stop for high winds or ice, and if we do you will hear from us.
Sometimes. It depends on access, height and whether the building already has a contract in place, so flats are quoted individually rather than through the calculator.
How we clean
Debris is vacuumed out of the guttering, usually from the ground, with a camera on the pole so we can see the runs are properly clear. Where a gutter cannot be reached safely that way, we use ladders. You get before and after photos when the job is done. More about gutter cleaning and clearing.
We use purified water and a soft brush on a pole, usually from the ground or a safe working position, so there is no need to walk on your roof. Harsh chemicals or pressure washers are avoided because they can damage the panels or their seals.
Payment
Once we have agreed your first clean, we will send you a secure GoCardless link to set up your Direct Debit. It only needs setting up once, and we can help if you have any trouble with it. Nothing is charged when you set it up — payment is collected automatically after each completed clean.
There is no minimum term. You can cancel the regular service at any time — just let us know and we will remove you from the round.
Gutter clearing
Once a year suits most houses. If you have trees close by, or you are near woodland, twice a year is more realistic. Overflowing gutters and staining down the wall are the usual signs it is overdue.
Clearing empties the inside of the guttering so water runs away properly. Fascia and soffit cleaning is the outside: the white boards under the roofline, the face of the guttering and the downpipes, washed down so the green and black staining goes.
Fascias, soffits and roofline
Not always. If rainwater is overflowing or you can see growth sitting in the guttering, clearing the inside first makes sense. Otherwise the roofline can be cleaned on its own. More about roofline cleaning.
Most homes look right for a couple of years after a clean. Shaded, north-facing or tree-lined properties tend to green up sooner.
Usually a big improvement, but not always as-new. Weathered, faded or damaged boards can only come back so far, and we will tell you beforehand if we think that is the case.
Solar panel cleaning
Yes. We clean domestic solar panels to remove dirt, dust, pollen, bird droppings and other build-up that reduces efficiency. It is priced as a separate one-off job and is not part of the regular window-cleaning round. More about solar panel cleaning.
For most homes in Devon, once a year is enough. If you are near trees, farmland or the sea, they can get dirty faster and may benefit from more frequent cleaning.
General
Occasionally, yes. Just tell us before we are due. If cleans are skipped regularly the glass ends up needing more work each visit, so we may need to look at the price.
Tell us within 48 hours and we will come back and put it right. That applies to every service.
Yes. We carry public liability insurance and are happy to send the certificate over if you would like to see it.
We cover Exeter and surrounding areas. If your town is on our areas page, ask us to confirm current round availability; if you are just outside it, we will tell you honestly.
